The Fade

« on: May 20, 2007, 04:00:40 AM »

Sure, these things are quite pointless, but this one in particular throws up some great answers from time to time

I've done this before, but I'm redoing my previous results, because I've got a whole load of new music since.

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (Winamp, Media Player etc)
2. Put the entire library on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend your cool...

Opening Credits:
RHCP - Dosed

Waking Up:
Weezer - Slob (Ha! Indeed!)

First Day At School:
The Automatic - Raoul (Would have to be one of those very active, quick-changing scenes)

Falling In love:
Biffy Clyro - Christopher's River (Oh, HELL YES. I did in fact fall in love with this song playing, once.)

Fight Song:
Audio Bullies & Nancy Sinatra - Shot You Down (Could work. A bit eerie though.)

Breaking Up:
Reel Big Fish - Sell Out (*rocks*)

Prom:
Fratellis - For The Girl (Well, we don't have proms, but sure - party song Cheesy)

Life's OK:
Jolly Rogers - The Queen Fairy (Hell No! But every soundtrack needs a bit of comedy)

Mental Breakdown:
Snow Patrol - Half the Fun (Works very well)

Driving:
Good Charlotte - The Anthem (I often drove to music like this - Greenday, Blink182 etc. Of course, I did crash my sister's car through a hedge)

Flashback:
Frank Sinatra - Mr Bojangles (Could work)

Getting Back Together:
Oasis - Don't Look Back in Anger (Kind of. The lyrics don't quite work, but it's the thought that counts)

Wedding:
Weird Al - Polkarama! (Urr... no. But imagine if you actually played that at your wedding. Barrel of fun)

Birth of Child:
The Darkness - Givin' Up (Oh, hell yes)

Final Battle:
Lostprohpets - Burn Burn (Pretty good)

Death Scene:
Veronicas - When It All Falls Apart (Well, other than not wanting to admit to owning this kind of music, it could work. I mean, when you die, something's gone wrong with your plans)

Funeral Song:
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms (I do want this played at my funeral. It's the most haunting song ever.)

End Credits:
The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny ( Shocked Grin :DPERFECT Cool)

(urrrrmm... ? Housinge? no. just... no)

Fight Song:
23-machinae_supremacy-flames_of_fire
(Much better!)

Breaking Up:
David Gray - This Year's Love (Strings Remix)
(he's singing "This year's love had better last" oops!)

Prom:
Zero7 - 06 - Red Dust
(hmm, Zero 7 would make for a very chilled out prom, could work...)

Life's OK:
Monty Python - The Final Rip Off - disc 1 - track 22 'Election Night special'
"Well pretty much as I expected, except that the silly party won"
"Kevin Phillips BOOONNNNG. You polled no votes at all. Not a sasauge. Bugger all."

Mental Breakdown:
Igneous Stone - Another Day
(Your thinking "wtf is igneous stone?!" Its my brother's friends' band. This is probably their best sounding song, sorta mabye doesn't work...)

(A nice song, not quite a driving song though)

(It works  Tongue )

LOL!  Cheesy Well, I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!

Death Scene:
Monty Python - The Final Rip Off - disc 1 - track 11 'Dead Parrot'
"He's BLEEDING DEMISED. He's NOT pineing, he's passed on! This Parrot, is no more! He 'as ceased to be! He's expired and gone to meet his maaaker! He's a stiff! Bereffed of life he rests in peace, If you hadn't nailed him to the pearch he'd be pushing up the daisies! 'e's off the Twig! He's shuffled off this mortal coil! E's Fucking Snuffed it! THIS, IS AN EX, PARROT!"
 Grin

my chemical romance - welcome to the black parade
(Very accurate song!  Shocked)
"Though your dead and gone believe me, your memory will carryyy ooonn..."

End Credits:
Zero 7 - 02 - Home
 Smiley

Hmmm, well the first half of the song wasn't too accurate, and some songs should have been in different slots, but the last 4 worked well, and had a comic touch too  Cheesy

Although my outcomes were skewed by the fact that I have more Monty Python and Zero 7 than anything else...

Funeral Song:
Haha you're dead - Greenday (lmfao)

LOL!
